How does the BlackhawkNest Data Breach Warranty impact my cyber insurance?

Which types of incidents are covered under this warranty?
Any incidents that include the removal of client data from client information technology systems by an outside and unauthorized party using cyber methods. For example, you would be covered for exfiltration and data breach incidents.

During what time period is the warranty in effect?
The warranty initiates when BlackhawkNest confirms adequate visibility of your networks and endpoints and lasts until the final day of your Blackhawk+ service.

Can I negotiate the terms and conditions of the warranty?
No. The warranty agreement is specific to BlackhawkNest’s insurance coverage and cannot be altered.

What is required for a customer to receive the warranty protections?
You just need to have an active Blackhawk+ subscription.

Can the warranty for Blackhawk+ be offered by partners and resellers?
Yes. Any entity authorized to sell the service is authorized to offer you the warranty.

Are pre-existing breaches covered by the warranty?
No. For a breach to qualify for the warranty, it must occur during your warranty period, after Blackhawk+ services are initiated.

Are there any exclusions from the warranty coverage?
Yes. The warranty does not cover certified acts of terrorism, acts of war, acts of God, or transfer of tangible property and/or monies to a country embargoed by the United States. Additionally, the warranty is null and void for networks and endpoints not monitored by Blackhawk+ or where BlackhawkNest’s response recommendations are not implemented or are activated within the specified timeframe.
